'The emerging US-based melodic death metal band HINAYANA will release their second studio album, Shatter and Fall, on November 10, 2023. The work impresses with impressive songwriting and features notable guest appearances by Vincent Jackson Jones (Aether Realm) and Tuomas Saukkonen (Wolfheart). Produced by frontman Casey Hurd and Kevin Butler, Shatter and Fall was mastered by Dan Swanö at his Unisound studio. Like no other, the Texans incorporate modern elements into their melodic death metal, setting themselves apart from genre heavyweights such as Insomnium, Amorphis, and Swallow the Sun, giving their distinctive sound a fresh uniqueness. After the release of their first demo EP, the band, formed in 2014, established a solid place in the metal scene with their debut album, Order Divine (2018). This was followed by the release of their label debut EP, Death Of The Cosmic (2020), with which HINAYANA defied the pandemic. Now they are ready to present their eleven new songs on the big European Tour this fall, alongside their label colleagues from Wolfheart and Before The Dawn.

Dominating with clean guitar riffs and catchy harmonies, 'Slowly Light Collides' opens the heavy gates of Shatter and Fall and appropriately introduces the new work. Together with guest vocalist Vincent Jackson Jones (Aether Realm), the dark growls of frontman Casey Hurd, and intricate riffs, 'Mind Is A Shadow' intensifies the album's intensity. Groovy anthems like 'Reverse The Code' showcase HINAYANA's typical progressive elements and captivating dynamics. The overwhelming 'Spirit And Matter' and the electrifyingly played 'Triptych Visions' create an enchanting atmosphere with poignant refrains, while drums and deep growls underscore the familiar dark and impactful sound. With 'A Tide Unturning,' the Texan quintet delivers one of the most brutal and touching ballads of 2023, together with Tuomas Saukkonen (Wolfheart). With Shatter and Fall, HINAYANA clearly demonstrate their development and outstanding sense for dark nuances, solidifying their rightful position in the melodic death metal genre.'
